I do not know anything about Urban Meyer other than what I read in the newspapers and hear on TV and radio. I cannot help but admire his success as head coach of the Florida Gator college football team. I watched with great interest this week as he announced he was stepping down as head coach on Saturday — due to health and family, and then changed his direction to a temporary “leave of absence” on Sunday.
I wish him the best. I admire a man who will cite faith, family and health as issues more important than career, job, and success. I will pray for him. Hopefully he can find the balance to maintain his family and faith priorities and continue to succeed as a college football coach. Working with young men as a coach is an honorable and worthy task.
Everyone knows he is an outstanding coach. I admire the fact that he wants also to be an outstanding husband and father. God bless him!
