Iranian Pastor

Wednesday, October 5th, 2011

All Christians should be praying for the Iranian pastor, Yousef Nadarkhani. Raised in the Isalmic country, he converted to faith in Christ as a teenager. Today he is a very effective pastor — bringing a number of people from Islam to faith in Christ.

Consequently, in this Islamic state — due simply to his faith in Christ – Iran’s Supreme Court has sentenced him to death. The court is demanding that he renounce his faith in Christ and turn back to Islam. World rights groups are shocked that a person can be sentenced to death simply by criminalizing one’s choice of religion. The court says it will suspend the sentence, if Nadarkhani will renounce his Christian faith. He says he certainly will not renounce his faith in Christ and turn to Isalm.

We need to pray for him. In addition. there are websites where you can send a letter of concern to the Iranian government — as I have done.

Yousef Nadarkhani is a modern Apostle Paul. What a wonderful example of faithfulness to our Lord!

Conversion of Mosab Hassan Yousef

Wednesday, April 21st, 2010

Mosab Hassan Yousef was born on the West Bank into a devout Islamic family. His father, in prison today, is a leader of the Palestinian terrorist organization Hamas. You can read about Yousef’s conversion to Christ online. He lives today in America.

His is a fascinating story. He was appalled by the torture done by Hamas leaders. It motivated him to read the Bible, verse by verse, to study Christianity, and to compare it with Islam. God opened his eyes. He embraced Christ as his Savior and was baptized in 2005.

His conversion compelled him to leave everything he had known — country, family, religion, culture, etc. He took a public stand for Jesus Christ and says today that he loves Christ and chooses to follow Him the rest of his life.

As you can imagine, this caused no small stir in Palestine. His family pleaded with him not to go public with his testimony of newfound faith in Christ. But he felt motivated to stand for the Lord, and he is glad to do so!
