Labor Day

Wednesday, September 1st, 2010

This week we celebrate the Labor Day holiday. It is a wonderful American tradition. It is said that Napoleon, whenever he saw a man at work, tipped his hat.

Our media and political world act like the only truly “working” people are what we call blue collar workers. Thank God for our blue collar workers! But in this day and age we also have a lot of white collar workers. And thank God for them, too!

Where would we be without the men and women working who help make America great? We have much for which to be thankful to God!

Labor Day

Tuesday, September 1st, 2009

Labor Day is fast approaching. The “work ethic” is clearly biblical. The Book of Proverbs repeatedly commends work and rebukes laziness. The Apostle Paul said, if a man won’t work, don’t let him eat.

It was reported that whenever Napoleon saw a man at work, he stopped and tipped his hat.

America needs to step back from the pursuit of pleasure and leisure this Labor Day weekend to salute the working men and women of our country. They are the ones who make us a great nation on a daily basis. American industriousness, ingenuity and diligence have combined to give us the highest standard of living in the history of the world. For that, we salute our working men and women!
