James H. Wigton, Ph.D.

Senior Pastor

Pastor James Wigton, known to the church as “Pastor Jim,” was born in Ohio, where he began his ministry more than 30 years ago. He came to Delaney Street in 2007. He is committed to faithfully preaching the Word of God, and he believes that it is important to make God’s Word relevant to the younger generation. Trained in journalism, he was editor of the The Ohio State Daily Lantern at Ohio State University when he came to Christ and was called to preach.

Pastor Jim and his wife, Jackie, have three grown children. All three are married, and two are in full-time ministry.

Dr. Wigton serves as Vice Moderator of the Greater Orlando Baptist Association and serves on the Board of Directors of the Florida Association of Christian Colleges & Schools. He is the author of one book and numerous published articles.
